"Women of Earth Take Back Your Birth!"

 I have been waiting for the launch of our re-desinged web site  to begin my blog for 2010. I am looking forward to providing you with regular updates. I have been asked by viewers around the world to share more about where the film has been shown, the reaction and the impact the film is having as well as how to prepare to have a pleasurable birth. I will also be sharing about my travels and my work as an International DONA doula trainer www.dona.org , Co-chair of the InternationalMotherBaby Childbirth Initiative, www.imbci.org as well as news, research and events that impact global maternal child health. We will soon be adding MP3 audio blogs and interviews with many experts, women and men I met as I travel the world with Orgasmic Birth: The Best-Kept Secret. 2009 was an amazing year with the film showing in 39 countries. We have begun 2010 with more countries sharing Orgasmic Birth and our first national Television broadcast, February 22nd, at 10PM on yes Docu in Israel –with more countries to follow. Check our breaking news section and my blog for broadcast updates. This is just the beginning.... there is more to look forward to as I spent the day today, in our edit room working on a new, shorter, 52-minute version ofthe film for international broadcast. We have a new section on midwifery care, a new opening and a new feel. We plan to have this new version finished next month to share with broadcasters. Our new book, Orgasmic Birth: Your Guide to a Safe, Satisfying and Pleasurable Birth Experience that I co-authored with midwife Elizabeth Davis from our film, will be published in June 2010 by Rodale and is availablefor preorder www.orgasmicbirth.com We are working on a childbirth curriculum to help you plan for an ecstatic, blissful, orgasmic birth and have plans for a new educational DVD too. 2010 is an exciting year for sharing and challenging people to think outside of the comfortable box we have put birth in. It is time as midwife Lonnie Morris says in our film for, “Women of earth to take back your birth!”
