B-School Helps Ecstatic Birth Prioritize Family Time

My business, Ecstatic Birth, was born of my passion. I had personally weaved my way from one traumatic birth experience into an experience of reclamation and a 3rd that was an ecstasy so pure that it was beyond anything I could have imagined.

I was blown away by just how good birth could be and torn to bits that I hadn’t known that was possible, that the vast majority of girls and women on the planet had no idea that was possible.

I wanted to scream this information from the rooftops. I wanted to make sure women everywhere knew what was available to them and have the resources at their fingertips if they so desired.

Ecstatic Birth emerged in the world on the shoulders of my very own teachers- Mama Gena, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Saida Desliets, Ina May Gaskin,  women who had held, supported and guided me through their wisdom and some of the most progressive visionaries of the time- Debra Pascali-Bonaro, Elena Tonnetti- Vladimirova, Sheri Winston among others.

IMG_0579The time was ripe and our opening events went viral. We had women from all 5 continents and 30+ states join us for the live conferences which formed the basis of what is now the Ecstatic Birth Training Sessions.

For me, a mother of 3 children under 6 at the time… it was grand, but VERY overwhelming. I didn’t know which way to turn my energy and direction. I knew I was on to something, but had no idea how to build on the attention and momentum.

Most importantly I had no idea how to make it work for me and my lifestyle. I wanted my business to fuel me so I had more enthusiasm and energy for my kids, not less. I wanted to prioritize the time I spent with them, not have it snatched away by the demands of my new venture.

I found my way to a live event hosted by Marie Forleo and Danielle LaPorte. They generously shared their wisdom and own experiences building soul centered businesses. I walked out of there inspired and wanting more. B-school was around the corner, but seemed SO expensive. Was it really worth it?

I decided to put it to the test. I implemented one idea that they had shared and told myself if it brought 1/2 the tuition, I would sign up. That one idea, brought forth TWICE the amount of money B-school cost. I signed up and never looked back.

That was 4 years ago. The first round I sat back and soaked it all in, implementing what I could here and there. The second round, I rebuilt my website. The third round, I began to build consistency around my messaging and marketing. I did what I needed to do at the perfect time for me.

This year I’m incubating a new program for birth professionals to bring Ecstatic Birth to their clients. My vision is bigger than ever and I desire to reach more women than ever before with this powerful information and training.

I have no doubt that I will find plenty of support, ideas, and inspiration in this coming round of B-school to support me in surpassing my goals and doing so with efficiency, grace, and pleasure.

B-school has been a huge part of Ecstatic Birth’s growth each step of the way. In addition to the training, the community is an invaluable resource, always available for support, insight, and all kinds of shortcuts along the way.

Consistently within the halls of B-school I have been inspired to think bigger than I would have on my own.

Most importantly, my business now runs in a way that 100% works for me. I can work as much as I want to when I want to.. and when I don’t… I have all the time I want to focus on the little people in my life!
