I’m Ale!, mother of 12-year-old Mariano, Midwife, Doula and Childbirth Educator.  My journey in Midwifery began during my pregnancy and continues to this day. I was born in Monterrey, México. I had an intense and beautiful water birth at home accompanied by midwives. I have traveled several states of Mexico with my son creating my own learning path in Midwifery, trying to find a balance between the practices of professional midwifery and the wisdom of traditional medicine.

I started my apprenticeship next to my Midwife who became my Mentor and with whom I accompanied births in Monterrey, Nuevo León, later I moved to San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas where I studied a Diploma in Midwifery and also accompanied births in hospital and at home, at the same time doing volunteer work in the Movement of Traditional Midwives. Later I traveled to Tulum, Quintana Roo and Pachuca, Hidalgo and collaborated with other Midwives and birth centers.

I had the opportunity to learn during my travelings and from so many loved midwives and friends, from the use of medicinal plants, flowers, sobada maya, herbal baths and the use of the rebozo, elements that I consider very important and necessary to offer a loving and deep accompaniment. Always supporting women to find themselves and become their own guides on the path of transformation that motherhood brings.

I currently work as an independent autonomous Midwife and in collaboration with other colleagues and Birth Centers. I accompany women during their pregnancies, childbirth, postpartum and their processes of female sexuality.
