Have you ever taken a moment to pause and think about the most transformative moments of your life?

The beginning of you finding your power and achieving your dreams?

Was your beginning influenced by someone? Have you told them and thanked them?

I have told the story of my journey into birth work, many times. It began as a small child, sprung from hearing my great grandmother, Angelina’s birth stories, hearing my grandmother’s birth of my mother and the way my own mother believed in her body, and her story of birthing me. These were foundational moments that gave me my belief in my body, and a deep knowing that birth could be powerful and pleasurable!

Immaculate DeceptionToday I want to share with you an interview with Suzanne Arms-  whose book Immaculate Deception – played an instrumental part in my first birth – inspiring me, helping me to question what I wanted for myself and my baby in childbirth. Suzanne’s book played a part in putting me on my path to becoming a  loving mother, a birth activist, educator and doula. I am so happy I could thank her again and share more part of my story and inspiration with you!

I even share about my “Book Club” with the Doctor that attended my first birth…

Not only do I hope you will enjoy learning more about my story and journey in life, I also believe you will be inspired by Suzanne’s insights if you are planning a pregnancy, are pregnant or will support someone as a partner, doula or birth keeper.  Her words of wisdom rang true to me years ago and today she touched me again with even more wisdom.

There is a lot here, so grab some tea to sit down and enjoy her insights from preconception, to birth, to early parenting to healing as an adult! Watch the video below or download the audio for on the go listening!
