Dr. Lawrence D. Rosen one of our “experts” featured in NY Times article Weighing Nondrug Options for A.D.H.D New York Times Health June 17, 2008 http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/17/health/17well.html?ex=1214280000&en=bd…   I was pleased to see this article including our “Expert” Pediatrician Dr. Lawrence D. Rosen who is featured in our film speaking about the implications for birth on babies short and long term health and well- being, sharing in this article about integrative and holistic approaches to A.D.H.D.  The article states:  The Integrative Pediatrics Council, at www.integrativepeds.org, offers a list of pediatricians who offer alternative treatments. Its chairman, Dr. Lawrence D. Rosen, chief of pediatric integrative medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, says parents should seek a holistic approach. But he notes that that may well include prescription drugs.  “I do prescribe medications in my practice, and there are kids whose lives have been saved by that,” he said. “But it’s a holistic approach that is very different than one pill, one symptom. We’re addressing not just the physical, chemical needs of kids, but their total emotional and mental health.”  Visit Dr. Rosen’s web site about his new fully green, integrative primary care pediatrics practice in Oradell, NJ – The Whole Child Center – opening August 4th. http://www.wholechildcenter.org/
